Options and Careers events

It’s been a busy week for our Year 9 and Year 11 students, with some exciting events encouraging them to think big about their futures. On Wednesday, the Year 9 Options and Careers Fayre took place in the hall with lots of information on the different subjects on offer at school. External visitors were also on hand to talk about careers pathways, college and university. Business and Sociology tasters took place for Year 9 during the school day, to spark students’ interest and give them an insight into the topics they would be covering at GCSE.

On Thursday the Year 11’s took part in a taster day to find out more about life as a student in our Sixth Form, and had the chance to participate in an array of practical sessions. They also had the opportunity to attend inter-active workshops with Hopwood Hall College, Greater Manchester Police, the Army and Edge Hill University.

Thanks to all who made these events happen and the positive feedback received from students and parents.
