Day 2 7/7/15
After an early rise, we left the Allnatt Centre just after 9am. Mr Douglas’s and Mr Smith’s group had a short coach journey where they were dropped off at Shell Bay for the walk back to the centre. Initially the weather was not too great – but the cloud soon burnt away to leave a fantastic sunny day. The 9km walk back involved field sketching and learning about coastal features on the discordant coastline – stacks, arches, headlands and bays and more. Mr Hardman’s two groups drove over to Lulworth to conduct their controlled assessment on the effects of tourism on this village and surrounding area. The group also investigated the coastal features on the concordant side of this world heritage site.
