Following on from a week of special assemblies for Holocaust Memorial Day, the Crompton House family took to Twitter to join the #LightTheDarkness campaign on Thursday 27th January. Lighting candles at 8pm, we stood in solidarity with others across the country to remember those who were murdered in the Holocaust for who they were, and to stand against prejudice and hatred today.
Using the hashtag #CHSRemembers we were able to link our moving tributes together with the national campaign of remembrance.
In a continuation of this theme, on Wednesday 2nd February, Year 7 students welcome award-winning children’s author Tom Palmer to school. Tom has written over 50 children’s books, including historical fiction titles, exploring themes from the First and Second World Wars.
