During November and December Mrs Noden, teaching assistant and cook, organised a series of Christmas Bakes for some Year 7 and 8 pupils on Thursdays after school. Their baking included gingerbread houses, mince pies, fudge and marshmallow snowmen. Mrs Noden was helped by Mrs Fisher, classroom manager, and a number of other teaching assistants. For the pupils who couldn’t attend the after-school sessions Mrs Noden arranged lunchtime baking demonstrations so pupils could try the baking at home later. As the photographs show the results of the baking were excellent, and the pupils really enjoyed the baking. Many thanks to Mrs Noden and her fantastic team of helpers.
