It was a wonderful surprise to welcome back ex-student Tyla Hoyle when the 5th Regiment Royal Artillery (The Yorkshire Gunners) supported school in early July with our ongoing COVID testing regime.
Gunner Hoyle said, ‘It was a great opportunity to come back to my old school. It was exciting to see familiar faces and be able to help Crompton House’s pupil testing programme. As soldiers we look forward to deploying on operations and the chance to serve this close to home makes it even more special.’
Deputy Headteacher, Mr Danyel Dunkley (pictured above) commented, ‘It was great to see the Army assisting us in the testing today, it was made even better, to see one of our old students among them. We wish Tyla and her fellow Gunners well, and thanks for your service.’
