On Saturday 4th July Mr Deane organised the first Old Boys’ 5 a-side Football Tournament. The five teams, from leavers in 2011 to 2014, played group matches lasting 20 minutes leading to a final. The winners were the 2013 team with Ben Pearson, currently with Manchester United, followed by the 2014 A team. The other teams were from 2012, 2014 B and 2011.
It was a great afternoon’s football played in the summer sun and the players had a good time reflecting on their time spent at Crompton House. They all agreed that the new Leon Ashton 3G Pitch was fantastic, so much better than the “all weather” pitch that they had to play on.
