By Fran Godfrey and Rose Hinton | Year 10 – GCSE Art & Design
We visited Whitby on 25th February to take photos of the local area for our GCSE Art coursework. We have looked at the art work of David Utting in class. He paints brightly coloured pictures of Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay, which we also visited. It was a fun and interesting day out. We enjoyed a typical Whitby lunch of fish and chips from the chippy that has been voted best in England! We are now looking forward to starting our own art work based on the photos we took. We’d like to say a big thank you to Mr Leach, our amazing fun art teacher, who drove us to Whitby and back on the minibus, and to Mrs McLean who also accompanied us on this fantastic trip.
