Christmas at Crompton House traditionally starts with the the PTFA Christmas Fair. This was a lovely day, and despite the rain outside, was very successful. Many thanks most go to the all the parents, pupils and staff who gave up their time, and to those who supported the fair, especially with the prizes for the grand raffle which included a 32” TV, a water-proof digital camera and a Kindle FirE, in addition to the Christmas Draw with cash prizes totalling £500. In total we raised over £3,700 for PTFA funds. Music was integral to the Christmas Fair, and we were delighted to hear a brass ensemble and a variety of choirs. They really got everyone attending into the Christmas mood.
This term the PTFA have paid for a placement quad-bike – snow plough, refurbishment for the Year 11 Common Room, a 3-D printer as well as £100 towards the Chess Club.
