The Real Schools Guide, compiled by the Trinity Mirror Newspaper Company. has just been published by the Manchester Evening News and Crompton House has been named the top secondary school in Oldham.
The unique rating system takes into account a range of different indicators to evaluate a school’s performance. The system tracks achievement, attendance, teaching, how well the school is preparing pupils for the future and whether it is improving.
The guide was published before our recent excellent A Level and GCSE results were published, and both of these showed improvements on the 2015 results.
Mr Karl Newell, Headteacher, says “I am delighted that our progress in all key areas has been recognised. Our academic results speak for themselves, and our beliefs of Loving God and Caring For Each Other are demonstrated through our acknowledged excellent pastoral care and the fantastic charity and voluntary work by all parts of the school community.”
