“We are so grateful to the PTFA committee and all the parents, friends, students and teachers who have of their precious time to help run a successful Christmas Fair. The was a great turn out to support the event and a constant buzz of enjoyment to get us all into the Christmas spirit. In total we raised over £4,500.
We were delighted to welcome Shaw Playhouse 2 characters from Dick Whittington. This added a new dimension to the fair and we are pleased to help support our local theatre.
A special thanks and shout out to local businesses who supported the fair with wonderful raffle prizes and other items we could use on our stalls to raise funds (please see the list of business who supported our school fair below). Also to all our parents, carers, and staff who sent in donations and items we could sell.
The PTFA have been raising funds to help purchase a new minibus for the school. Our minibus are in constant use for extra curricular activities and field trips. The PTFA have given £25,000 to the school towards the minibus. In the past we have also provided funds for new kits for sports teams, a laser printer for DT, Head Teacher Awards, Photo booths for the Year 11 and 13 Leavers Balls to name but a few.
Through the year, the PTFA organise a welcome Year 7 Disglo, the Christmas Fair, the Spring Ball (look out for details in January, this is a great night not to be missed), and the Spring plant sales.
We are always looking for new volunteers to get involved with the PTFA. New people being new ideas and opportunities. It is also a great way to connect with others, make new friends, and know that you are helping to give all our students an amazing educational experience at Crompton House.
