The summer holidays are almost here! For Year 6 transitioning to Year 7, Crompton House School have created an exciting Summer Reading Challenge to help welcome students into CHS school life.

Reading for pleasure is so important, it can take us on journeys to magical places and is great for our mental health and wellbeing. At Crompton House School, we are lucky to be able to offer our students a great online E and Audio book app named Sora enabling them to access over 3000 books online 24/7. The Summer Reading Challenge has been set via Sora and the activity is based around a great book named ‘Girl. Boy. Sea.’ by Chris Vick. The book was chosen by the English Team and Learning Zone Manager details of which can be found in the activity booklet here.

Students learned all about the challenge during their visit to CHS during their Transition Days in June including how to log onto Sora with their user id and password.

Students can access a whole range of great titles on Sora now and throughout the summer holidays. Details of how to activate your Sora account can be found within the activity booklets or you can click here for instructions.
